Termite Control

Termite Control

We service residential and commercial customers.

The presence and evidence of termites is a serious matter because of the destructive nature of the pests. They cause more damage annually than fires do. They are several types of termites. In the Northeast the most common is the subterranean termite. In other parts of the country the Drywood termite and Formosan termite can be found. Just like ant colonies, the termite colony has a king and a queen. Termite colonies also include workers, soldiers and winged reproductive. The winged reproductive termite looks nearly identical to winged ants. It is important to save a sample for a professional to identify.

Termite mud tube

Damaged wood, mud tubes and insect wings are some of the signs you may have termites. Termites need only 1/16” in width to enter into a building. Termites digest the cellulose of wood as they tunnel through it. Termites are an important part of the ecosystem as they help the natural cycle of deterioration, allowing new growth to begin. Unfortunately, they cannot differentiate between the wood in your home or business and the trees in your yard.
