Cockroaches are one of the most resilient insects. They have been able to adapt to almost any environment for over 400 million years. Cockroaches have an uncanny ability to adapt to their surrounding and survive in places or situations where most other insects may not. Anything with nutritional value can be fed on by a cockroach. These insects pose a serious health threat because they are known to carry numerous bacteria, parasitic worms and other pathogens. Cockroaches leave feces and saliva that can transmit disease to humans. They can also aggravate people with asthma and allergies.

Quick Facts:

Cockroaches prefer moist environments and high areas with heat. They can be seen during the day or at night time.
Some of the common cockroaches seen are: German, brownbanded, oriental, american, pennsylvania wood, smokybrown.
The German cockroach is commonly found in restaurants, etc.
The pennsylvania wood cockroach is commonly found in residential and business settings.

In general, cockroaches are a challenging insect due to their ability to survive in tough conditions, reproduce quickly and carry disease.

Cockroach eggs which resemble light sand.
A saliva substance that the cockroaches can leave in a trail.
